
The Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies (ACHS) at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is now accepting applications for the Specialized Diploma, Master’s and PhD programs in Hellenistic Studies, awarded by Alexandria University in collaboration with the Vardinoyannis Foundation.
What the program offers
Up to 75% of tuition covered by the ACHS–Vardinoyannis Foundation scholarship (terms apply)
Taught entirely in English
Degrees accredited by Egypt’s Supreme Council of Universities
Classes held inside the Bibliotheca Alexandrina
Registration periods
1–30 August — Diploma, Master’s and PhD
1–30 January — Master’s and PhD
Who can apply
Diploma — open to graduates of non-specialized fields, one year
Master’s — BA in Classics, Archaeology or a related field, minimum grade Good
PhD — Master’s in Hellenistic Studies or a related specialization from a recognized university
Why study it here
The period you’ll be studying is the period Alexandria was founded and flourished in, through to the end of the Ptolemaic era and the reign of Cleopatra. You won’t be reading about it from somewhere else — you’ll be studying it where it happened.
