The sessions of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, which will take place on October 7-10, coincide with the 15th anniversary since the enthronement of Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria.

The Primate of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa was elected unanimously on October 9, 2004.

The Polyarchieratic Patriarchal Co-liturgy will be celebrated this year to celebrate the 15th anniversary since the enthronement of the shepherd of all Africa and Greek community in Egypt.

All bishops of the Alexandrian Church will attend the festal liturgy while local officials are expected to attend.
