Introduction: The awareness of cultural diversity between nations, and the enhancement of dialogue between them, Contribute to the acceptance of conceptual differences and creativity practices. In order to stimulate self-respect for the varied history and civilization of nations, Progressive communication, as well as opening dialogue channels exchanging experience with others holding different points of view, should be targeted. Hence, the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University embraced the idea of the fifth international conference as part of its leading role in contributing to expanding the concept of cultural exchange, for Art has always held common boundaries of mutual scientific approach and cultural diversity acceptance among nations, especially Mediterranean countries that are bound to Alexandria Egypt in many aspects extending deeply through history and time. Conference Aim: The conference aims at cultural and intellectual enhancement between Mediterranean countries through the following:- • Identifying points of cultural similarities and differences in the field of both science and visual arts. • Opening new venues of intercultural exchange, and Sharing experiences and knowledge in the fields of arts and architecture. • Preserving heritage and different forms of expression that consolidate the basses of dialogue as means of interaction between nations. Conference Themes: Authors are encouraged to submit Papers in the field of visual Arts and Architecture in Mediterranean countries, but not limited to the following themes:- 1. Historic preservation conservation and restoration. 2. Heritage and history 3. The culture of Adaptation and variation. 4. Science and technology 5. Sustainability 6. Value engineering. 7. Multi media. 8. Learning and education. 9. Civil community and culture future. Conference venue: The Conference will be held in the main Conference Building at Alexandria bibliotheca, Egypt. Participants in the conference: The Conference targets professionals, academics and researchers from all fields of Arts and Architecture as well as private organizations with various scientific and practical expertise associated with the conference themes, to investigate scopes of cooperation, scientific and cultural exchange between academic and artistic institutions in Egypt and the Mediterranean countries, through providing research papers or posters in one of the conference themes. The conference offers a platform to share researches and to learn from one another. The synergy thus created will be the first step towards future collaborations in meaningful research projects. Language: Conference will be held in English and Arabic with the provision of translation Abstracts and paper submission: Abstracts: should be submitted within 200 words and no more than 300 words accompanied by a short curriculum vitae of the author / authors, E-mail, theme number, and five Keywords. The font used should be in Times New Roman 10, submitted not later than 25 /6 / 2016. In case of abstract acceptance author (s) will be invited via e-mail to send the full research according to the conference template in both word and pdf format, no later than 15/ 8/ 2016 for rigorous peer reviewing. If paper is accepted author (s) will be invited to present the final paper and have it published in a special issue of the scientific collage journal provided the presence of one of the authors, the abstracts will be published on the Faculty of Fine Arts scientific conference website: http://finearts.alexu.edu.eg/index.php/ar/ The number of research pages should not exceed 20 A4 pages, including the summary page, references and appendices. Font for Research in Arabic: Simplified Arabic 14 for titles and 12 for body text. Font for Research in English-language: Times New Roman 12 for titles and 10 for body text. Margins: 4 cm from the right and 3 cm from the rest of the sides. Registration and participation fees: Registration for conference participation starts on September 15, 2016 after the announcement of accepted researches. • Participation fees for researchers: (Authors) o Egyptians 800 EGP o Foreigners $ 600 or its equivalent Include attending all sessions, coffee brakes and lunches throughout the duration of the conference in addition to a bag containing a special issue of the certified college magazine with ISBN no. of the complete research proceedings published by conference and CD. • Participation fees for attendance: • Egyptians 400 LE • Foreigners $ 300 or its equivalent Include all coffee brakes and lunches throughout the duration of the conference in addition to the conference CD. • Student participation: 50 pounds – provided showing a valid student ID .
