Ενέργεια και περιφερειακή ασφάλεια στο επίκεντρο της Συνόδου Κορυφής Κύπρου-Ελλάδας-Αιγύπτου

Σε θέματα ενέργειας, περιφερειακής ασφάλειας, οικονομίας, και τεχνολογίας θα εστιάσει, μεταξύ άλλων, η τριμερής Σύνοδος Κορυφής Κύπρου, Ελλάδας και Αιγύπτου, που θα διεξαχθεί στις 8 Ιανουαρίου 2025 στο Κάιρο.

Ο Κυβερνητικός Εκπρόσωπος, Κωνσταντίνος Λετυμπιώτης, δήλωσε στο ΚΥΠΕ πως πρόκειται για ακόμη μια σημαντική σύνοδο που συμβάλλει στην ενίσχυση της στρατηγικής συνεργασίας των τριών χωρών και υπογραμμίζει τη δέσμευση μέσα από τη μεταξύ τους συνεργασία να προωθήσουν την ασφάλεια, τη σταθερότητα και την ευημερία στην ευρύτερη περιοχή της Ανατολικής Μεσογείου.

«Η επικείμενη σύνοδος θα εστιάσει σε κρίσιμα ζητήματα, όπως στην ενέργεια και στην κλιματική αλλαγή, με την ανάδειξη της Ανατολικής Μεσογείου ως κόμβου ενεργειακής ασφάλειας, στην περιφερειακή ασφάλεια και στη σταθερότητα, μέσα από συντονισμένες δράσεις για την αντιμετώπιση απειλών και της παράνομης μετανάστευσης, στην οικονομία και στις επενδύσεις, με στόχο την ενίσχυση της οικονομικής συνεργασίας στους τομείς του τουρισμού, της τεχνολογίας και των υποδομών, και στον τομέα πολιτισμού και εκπαίδευσης», είπε ο κ. Λετυμιπώτης

Ο Κωνσταντίνος Λετυμπιώτης υπενθύμισε ότι η τελευταία τριμερής Σύνοδος Κορυφής έλαβε χώρα στην Αθήνα στις 19 Οκτωβρίου 2021, με τη συμμετοχή των ηγετών των τριών χωρών, ενώ τριμερής Σύνοδος σε επίπεδο Υπουργών Εξωτερικών πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 24 Σεπτεμβρίου 2024,στη Νέα Υόρκη, στο περιθώριο της Γενικής Συνέλευσης των Ηνωμένων Εθνών.
