«Μέρες Αλεξάνδρειας» του Δημήτρη Στεφανάκη

Προσφάτως ένα βιβλίο του συγγραφέα Δημήτρη Στεφανάκη, συζητήθηκε με αφορμή τον πάλαι ποτέ πολιτισμό της Αιγυπτιώτικης Παροικίας, με τον τίτλο «Μέρες Αλεξάνδρειας». Ο Δημήτρης Στεφανάκης γεννήθηκε το 1961. Σπούδασε νομικά στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Αθήνας. Έχει μεταφράσει έργα των Σολ Μπέλοου, Ε. Μ. Φόρστερ, Γιόζεφ Μπρόντσκι, Προσπέρ Μεριμέ κ.ά. Το «Μέρες Αλεξάνδρειας», που κυκλοφορεί από τις Εκδόσεις Ψυχογιός, εκδόθηκε και στα γαλλικά σημειώνοντας τόσο μεγάλη επιτυχία, ώστε τιμήθηκε με το Prix Mediterranee Etranger. Κυκλοφορεί επίσης στα ισπανικά, ενώ σύντομα θα κυκλοφορήσει και στα αραβικά. Ο Δημήτρης Στεφανάκης τιμήθηκε με το Διεθνές Βραβείο Καβάφη 2011 και ήταν υποψήφιος για το Prix du Livre Europeen 2011.
