Η ονομαστική εορτή του Αλεξανδρινού Προκαθήμενου κοντά στους Ορθόδοξους του Κουλουέζι

Την Παρασκευή 17 Φεβρουαρίου ε.έ, εορτή του Αγίου Μεγαλομάρτυρος Θεοδώρου του Τήρωνος, ημέρα κατά την οποία η Α.Θ.Μ., ο Πάπας και Πατριάρχης Αλεξανδρείας και πάσης Αφρικής κ.κ.Θεόδωρος Β΄ άγει τα σεπτά του ονομαστήρια, τελέσθηκε στον Ιερό Ναό Αγίου Νικολάου, εντός του Ιεραποστολικού Κέντρου στο Κουλουέζι, πανηγυρική Πατριαρχική Θεία Λειτουργία.

Ο Μακαριώτατος Πατριάρχης, εμφανώς συγκινημένος, κατά την διάρκεια της ομιλίας του αναφέρθηκε στον Άγιο Μεγαλομάρτυρα Θεόδωρο, τονίζοντας την ομολογία του μαρτυρίου του ενώπιον των διωκτών της πίστεως και την αγάπη του προς τον Ιησού Χριστό. Ευχαρίστησε τον Σεβασμ. κ.Μελέτιο και όλους όσους συνέβαλαν όλες αυτές της ημέρες της ιεραποστολικής περιοδείας του στην άρτια διοργάνωσή της καθώς και για τις εγκάρδιες ευχές τους για την σημερινή ονομαστική εορτή.

Στο τέλος της Θείας Ευχαριστίας, ο Προκαθήμενος του Αλεξανδρινού Θρόνου, τέλεσε τις χειροθεσίες, του Καθηγουμένου της Ιεράς Μονής Αγίων Αποστόλων Κολουέζι π.Βαρνάβα Γρηγοριάτου σε Αρχιμανδρίτη του Πατριαρχικού Θρόνου και του Γενικού Αρχιερατικού Επιτρόπου της Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως Κατάνγκα π.Θεοφίλου σε Πρωτοπρεσβύτερο του Πατριαρχικού Θρόνου. Επίσης, χειροθέτησε την Κατηχήτρια γερόντισσα Θεανώ, από τα πρώτα στελέχη της Ιεραποστολής στο Κολουέζι, σε «Διακόνισσα της Ιεραποστολής» της Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως Κατάνγκα και ανέγνωσε την ευχή εις εισερχομένους «εις διακονίαν εκκλησιαστικήν» σε τρεις Μοναχές και δύο Κατηχήτριες, προκειμένου να εξυπηρετήσουν το ιεραποστολικό έργο της Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως, κυρίως στα Μυστήρια της Βαπτίσεως ενηλίκων και του Γάμου, καθώς και στον Κατηχητικό τομέα της Τοπικής Εκκλησίας. Σημειώνεται πως είναι η πρώτη φορά στην ιστορία της Ιεραποστολής στην Αφρική που πραγματοποιούνται ανάλογες χειροθεσίες.

Μετά την απόλυση της Θείας Λειτουργίας, στον προαύλιο χώρο του Ιερού Ναού, πραγματοποιήθηκαν πανηγυρικές εκδηλώσεις προς τιμήν του εορτάζοντος Πατριάρχου, κατά τις οποίες πλήθος Ορθοδόξων Χριστιανών προσέφεραν ενώπιον του Μακαριωτάτου δώρα για να τον τιμήσουν, ενώ η φιλαρμονική της Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως Κατάνγκα παιάνισε τον Ελληνικό και τον Κονγκολέζικο Εθνικό Ύμνο. Με το πέρας της τελετής, παρετέθη υπό του Πατριάρχου γεύμα αγάπης στο οποίο παρεκάθισαν άπαντες οι παρευρισκόμενοι και «μηδείς εξήλθε πεινών».

Ένα ιεραποστολικό ταξίδι τελείωσε, μια αχτίδα φωτός και ελπίδας ανέτειλε στον Αφρικανικό ουρανό. Ταπεινοί διάκονοι Ιησού Χριστού, μεταφέροντας το μήνυμά Του στα πέρατα της αχανούς ηπείρου του μέλλοντος. Ο Κύριος ελεεί, ο Κύριος συντηρεί, ο Κύριος αυξάνει. Αυτό κήρυξε πάνω στην γη, την πορεία προς τα έθνη.
