Κραυγή αγωνίας των Χριστιανών που ζουν στη «Μαύρη Ήπειρο»

Ο Πατριάρχης Αλεξανδρείας και Πάπας Αφρικής Θεόδωρος Β’, σε αποκλειστική συνέντευξη που παραχώρησε στο CNN Greece, εκφράζει την κραυγή αγωνίας των Χριστιανών που ζουν στην Αφρική και ζουν υπό την απειλή της τρομοκρατίας.

“Δεν είμαστε τρομοκρατημένοι αλλά μας ανησυχεί πότε η τρομοκρατία θα χτυπήσει τη δική μας πόρτα… Δεν ξέρουμε τι μας επιφυλάσσει το αύριο. Ξέρουμε ότι είναι ένας κίνδυνος (σ.σ: ISIS) που θα χτυπήσει την πόρτα της κάθε εκκλησίας.”

Ορθόδοξοι ναοί κλείνουν και οι μητροπολίτες στην Σύνοδο, πριν από 20 ημέρες, του Πατριαρχείου Αλεξανδρείας μετέφεραν το καθεστώς τρόμου που βιώνουν οι κάτοικοι, Χριστιανοί και μη, στην Αφρική.

Ήδη δύο ναοί στη Λιβύη, τη χώρα που συνορεύει με την Αίγυπτο και στην οποία έχει την έδρα του το Πατριαρχείο Αλεξανδρείας, έκλεισαν, καθώς οι τζιχαντιστές απείλησαν τη ζωή ιερέων και των πιστών.

Ιδιαίτερα επικίνδυνη είναι η κατάσταση στα σύνορα του Καμερούν με την Νιγηρία, την Τύνιδα και τη Λιβύη. «Εκεί υπάρχει μεγάλος κίνδυνος για τρομοκρατικά χτυπήματα», επισημαίνει ο Πατριάρχης Αλεξανδρείας.

Επικίνδυνη αποστολή που μπορεί να τους κοστίσει την ίδια τους τη ζωή, είναι και η προσπάθεια να προσεγγίσουν οι ιερείς τις περιοχές που διαβιεί το ποίμνιό τους και βρίσκονται στην ευρύτερη σφαίρα επιρροής των τζιχαντιστών.

Η τρομοκρατία τρέπει πολλούς Χριστιανούς της Μαύρης Ηπείρου σε φυγή. Αναγκάζονται, να εγκαταλείψουν τη γεννέτειρά τους και την περιουσία τους προκειμένου να αναζητήσουν ασφαλή ζωή στην Ευρώπη.

Ο Προκαθήμενος του δεύτερου τη τάξει Πατριαρχείου έχει ανοίξει δίαυλο επικοινωνίας με τον Πατριάρχη Ιεροσολύμων Θεόφιλο, τον πατριάρχη Αντιοχείας Ιωάννη και με τον Πατριάρχη της Κοπτικής Εκκλησίας.
